The (No Bake) Bite: Healthy Cookie Dough Bites

Whether you call them energy bites or fat bombs - tiny snack balls have been all the rage the past few years. Personally, my favorite kind of round snack has always been the cookie dough bites they sell at movie theaters. My mom recommended this cookie dough fat bomb recipe last year- and they tasted just like those movie theater candies! I’ve been addicted ever since. I decided to up the ante a bit and dip them in chocolate-and I recommend you do the same. Make a batch of these, store them in your fridge or freezer, and pop a few whenever the craving for cookie dough strikes!

The Recipe: Cookie Dough Fat Bombs from Primal Wellness

Tips from Cooking Curated:

  • To make fat bombs/energy bites, I use this candy mold from Amazon. Alternatively, you could use the bottom of a muffin tin or an ice cube tray.

  • I recommend using this butter flavored coconut oil in the bites to ensure the balls taste EXACTLY like cookie dough.

  • FOR THE (OPTIONAL) CHOCOLATE DIP::

    • *First make the cookie dough bites, following the recipe on Primal Wellness.

    • Ingredients:

    • Instructions:

      • After making the cookie dough bites, chill them in the freezer for 30 minutes.

      • Put the chocolate chips and coconut oil in a bowl. Microwave on 50% power in 30 second intervals, stirring in between.

      • Remove the cookie dough bites from the freezer and dip into the melted chocolate mixture. Place on a parchment lined baking sheet and put in the fridge.

      • Once the chocolate sets (about 1-2 hours), you can move the balls to an airtight container and store in the fridge for a week or the freezer for 3 months. If you store in the freezer, let thaw in fridge before consuming.
